Saxon Klein is a high-end corporate advisory firm based in Rialto Towers, Collins Street, Melbourne.  We concentrate on three areas:

  • Creating value in businesses.
  • Raising capital for companies with good ideas.
  • Helping business owners sell their companies for high multiples.

Who We Are Looking For

Our vision is to be a multi-disciplinary, one-stop-shop for these three areas.  We want to work with people who have law degrees, business degrees, marketing degrees and everything in between.  

 

  • You may come from a big six law firm, a big four accounting firm, or a bank like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan or Macquarie.
  • You may come from a global consulting group like McKinsey, Bain or Boston Consulting.
  • You may come from a global conglomerate or a successful startup.

At Saxon Klein, we work to solve a major problem for owners of $2m-$20m businesses:

 

Most business owners have never raised capital or sold a business.  Few have done it more than once.  This means that most business owners leave millions on the table when they raise capital or sell their businesses simply because they don't understand how these processes work. 

 

We solve that problem for them with a step-by-step system for creating value in their companies, then raising money or selling their business for high multiples.

 

Because we concentrate on just three areas, we have developed systems and precedents that make it easy for business owners to get what they want in life and make it easy for our colleagues to deliver this result.

 

How We Work

Research shows that the biggest problem for most consultants was "attracting and developing new business."  This concern topped the list with 81% of respondents putting it at as their number one concern.  By way of comparison, next on the list was "dealing with a competitive marketplace" at 25%.

 

We know what it is like to go out on your own.  You don't want to spend your time pitching for work and then worrying that whilst you are doing the work, your pipeline of new business is suffering.  

 

That's why we separate lead generation and lead conversion from actual production and client advice.  At Saxon Klein, our vision is to have someone working full time on developing new business whilst you do the work that appeals to you.  We want SEO, Adwords, content production, networking, pitching and converting all handled - so that you can concentrate on providing advice without worrying about the flow of new work.

 

Our Culture

Our aim is to make it easy for high-achievers in banking, law, accounting, management consulting and marketing to leave the big-end of town and work in a more relaxed, collaborative atmosphere.  This is how we bring high-level expertise to bear on sub-$20m deals.

To make up for this, however, we have great flexibility in taking holidays, playing golf and generally being with our families.  Taking the kids to sport?  No problem, we will cover for you.  Skiing in Canada for six weeks?  Let us know your dates and we will work around them.  A month in Provence?  No problem - bring us back a cook book.
